Thousand eon spark of heat
Fetter my walk to the Savior’s feet
Ravish this heart, undo this mind
Batter this vessel that’s lost it’s shine

For you, in glory, resonate the Pure
And I, far baser, am helpless, unsure
To cast asunder the weight of doubt
And trust the holy Trailblazer’s route

Amid the twilight, before night’s fled
You disappear, and I find instead
That your light’s grand, it’s tried perfection
But it’s not you - you’re a mere reflection

Remind me, Jesus, that I am naught
Lead on, dear Spirit, in my soul’s onslaught
Till I turn my back, myself deny
You must become greater - I must die
